Figma has an almost identical user interface to #Sketch but has the added advantage of being cross platform (MacOS and Windows). I find it the quickest and easiest way to maintain certain aspects of my build process.įor the user interface design and prototyping I use Figma. Even as your scripts become large, Ruby allows you to refactor your code easily and make it Object Oriented if necessary. Ruby is the ultimate cross platform scripting language. I use some Ruby scripts to process images with ImageMagick and pngquant to optimise for size and even auto insert responsive image code into the HTML5. My favorite recent addition is "optional chaining" which greatly simplifies and increases readability of a number of sections of my code dealing with getting and setting data in nested objects. TypeScript can compile to JavaScript directly but Babel offers a few more options and polyfills so you can use the latest (and even prerelease) JavaScript features today and compile to be backwards compatible with virtually any browser. I use Webpack and Babel to compile the JavaScript. So for my IDE I use Visual Studio Code which is a blazingly fast and silky smooth editor that integrates seamlessly with TypeScript for the ultimate type checking setup (both products are produced by Microsoft). ![]() It helps you catch a lot of bugs and also provides code completion in supporting IDEs. They must have an amazing team working on it. I consider TypeScript to be one of the best creations to come out of Microsoft in some time. The other very nice feature of Framework7 is that you can even build for the browser if you want your app to be available for desktop web browsers. React Native contains a very limited interpretation of #CSS3 which I found very frustrating after using #CSS3 for some years already and knowing its powerful features. Framework7 allows the use of #CSS3, which I think is the best technology to come out of the #Now #CSS3 includes variables and flexboxes it is truly a powerful language and there is no longer a need for preprocessors such as #SCSS / #Sass / #less. For those of you yearning for the traditional Start menu, Classic Shell is nicely-designed, easy to use, and full of options. Just click on the Start button, right-click on Open or Open All Users, and a File Explorer window pops up, giving you the ability to create, rename, and delete your Start menu folders and shortcuts. You can select a different skin for the menu and a different look for the Start button. You can choose which features and commands appear on the menu. Here, you can change the layout to a classic style with one column or one with two columns. Right-click on the Start button and click on Settings. We are to “behold the works of the Lord.” 4 Ways to Be Still and Know that He is God It isn’t until verse 10 that God Himself tells us to “Be still, and know that I am God.” So verse 8 is a personal invitation to the people of Jerusalem to come look at the destruction of their enemies and witness God’s complete deliverance: He saved His people once again. Psalm 46 was likely written after the defeat of one of Judah’s enemies, probably a time when God clearly did the defeating–for example, when an angel of God destroyed the Assyrians in their camp (2 Chronicles 32:20-21). Verse 8 tells us to “Behold the works of the Lord,” and it is fascinating to consider what those works might have been. The clues are back in verses 8 and 9 of Psalm 46.
